Use case
Financial services
The model was never the hard part. The controls around it were.
The pilot cleared its accuracy bar months ago. What it has not cleared is model risk review, the data residency question, the audit trail requirement, and the change-management process that governs anything touching a system of record.
None of that is unreasonable, and none of it goes away. It just means the engineering that matters is the engineering that makes the system explainable, reproducible, and reviewable — not the part that makes it clever.
01 — Where it stalls
What actually slows this down
Data cannot leave the perimeter
A tool that requires your positions, transactions, or customer records to transit a vendor's cloud is not evaluated, it is declined.
Every change needs a reviewable trail
'The agent did it' is not an answer anyone will accept. What shipped, who approved it, and what it was tested against all have to be reconstructable.
Legacy systems set the pace
The core is old, the interfaces are batch, and the documentation describes a version that was replaced in 2019.
02 — What Orfyn takes on
The work that stops being manual
- 01
Run agents entirely inside your own network, against your own environments
- 02
Keep every change on an isolated branch that arrives as a reviewable diff
- 03
Reproduce the awkward regulatory branches as explicit, re-runnable cases
- 04
Script recurring reconciliation and reporting work through the CLI rather than the UI
- 05
Route model calls to a provider — or self-hosted endpoint — your risk team has already approved
03 — The deciding constraint
Self-hosted is the entry requirement, not a feature
The daemon runs on your hardware and holds your keys. Orfyn does not proxy model calls, so inference goes from your infrastructure directly to the provider you selected. There is no vendor-side copy of your data, because there is no vendor side.
Walk us through your version of this.
Bring one workflow you are trying to ship. We will go through what it touches, where it stalls today, and what running it on Orfyn would look like.
