Updates
Orfyn ships updates through its own update service, on the stable channel. The desktop app checks automatically, downloads in the background, and installs silently — it relaunches itself and shows what the release brings, with the full notes one click away under What's new.
There is nothing to fetch manually and no public release page: updates are part of your deployment, delivered signed from Orfyn's own feed, and each one is integrity-checked against the manifest before it installs.
Versions
Versions are counted, not chosen: one change is one patch, so numbers move quickly and a higher number always means a newer build. The version you are running is shown in Settings, and every release's changes are listed on the changelog.
Checking manually
Settings → Check for updates asks the feed immediately instead of waiting for the next automatic check. If an update is available it downloads and installs in one click.
Mobile
The mobile apps update through the platform's normal store mechanism and can lag a few days behind desktop releases while builds go through review. The desktop daemon stays compatible with the paired mobile client across that window.
If an update misbehaves
Tell your Orfyn contact. Because updates come from our feed, we can see exactly which build you are on and ship a fix through the same channel — the app will pick it up on its next check, or immediately via Check for updates.
